ABOUT THE ARTIST

Susan Tracy

Thanks for finding us!

As a glass and jewelry artist, I use my natural surroundings as inspiration. Growing up in the Boston area, and now in the Twin Cities, I have a love of the ocean, mountains and vibrant autumn leaves. And, moose! I incorporate natural elements in my art, through color, contemporary design and real leaves, silver or mica embedded into the glass.

I began my glass adventures during an educational vacation at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. I was hooked and set up a glass studio. Each year, I attend glass and jewelry workshops around the country at schools including Corning, Pittsburgh Glass, Arrowmont, The Crucible, Metalwerx and Bullseye Glass, plus online programs for inspiration and to learn new techniques to incorporate into my art. I also enjoy teaching glass fusing in the Minneapolis-St Paul area.

My works have appeared at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia), the American Swedish Institute, the Como Park Japanese Obon Festival, One Yoga, and Cretin-Derham Hall.
